To enable machine translation, you The Lango Administration Panel allows you to manage all the settings for the Lango app within Confluence Cloud. This includes configuring external translation providers, managing glossaries, restricting available languages and more.

Accessing the Control Panel

To access the Lango Administration Panel, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Confluence Settings:

    • Navigate to the Confluence settings from your Confluence dashboard.

  2. Find the Lango App Section:

    • In the settings menu, search for the Lango App section.

    • Click on the “Languages & Translator” link.

Enabling machine translation

You need to configure an external translation provider . You can connect Lango with to enable machine translation in Confluence Cloud using the Lango extension. Lango supports the following providers:

Configuring an external provider

A Confluence administrator account is required to configure an external provider.

First, open the Lango administrator page:

  • Go to the Confluence settings

Setup the connection

You can configure connections with one or more external providers. You can also restrict the available languages or set some advanced options, like glossaries or global configurations.

If you want to add or edit the configuration for one provider, click on the pencil icon. You can change the default provider by clicking on the star icon.

Click the "Add Provider" button and choose your preferred provider. A configuration window will open where you can enter the necessary setup details. Once completed, Lango will validate the connection, and the provider will be shown as active.
