Configuring DeepL provider

DeepL Translator offers a free tier of 500k of translated chars each month.

To be able to translate content with DeepL, you need to activate a Developer Plan. You can create an account and a developer API Key following DeepL’s instructions.

  • Click on the DeepL translator pencil to open the DeepL configurator

  • Login to your DeepL Account and select the “Plan” tab

  • Check your current Account Plan (Free or Pro)

  • Copy your Authentication Key

  • Paste your Authentication Key

  • Be sure to select the correct plan (API Free or API Pro)

  • Set your preferred formality option

  • Click Save

Once saved, the key will be encrypted, and you will no longer be able to see it.

 

Lango will verify your configuration. If everything goes well, the provider will be set as active.

Troubleshooting

If you see this screen, something goes wrong.

Common causes:

  • You have entered an invalid authentication key;

  • You have selected an invalid Plan (e.g. you have the Free plan, but you have chosen the API Pro option);

  • You have exhausted the free characters available in the free plan.
