If you want to reuse existing translations on your Confluence, you can link them to a page set as primary content. This operation will enable the navigation will allow you to navigate between page languages by using the Lango Switcher or Lango Macro. In addition to linking existing translations, you can also create translations from scratch. This can be particularly useful in scenarios requiring compliance, where data should not be shared with third parties.

How to link a page

To link an existing page as a translation:

  • Open the Lango Control Management Panel within the primary content page that hosts the original content

  • Select the “Link existing page” operation

  • Set the translation language

  • Search for and select the page you wish to link to

Your page is now linked as a translation, and your user can navigate itenabling user navigation.

Unlink pages

You can deactivate the link if you no longer need a translation but still want wish to keep retain it for future use. Users Once unlinked, users can no longer reach a navigate to the translation via the switcher or the macro when unlinked.

To unlink a translation:

  • Open the Lango control management panel within the page that hosts the original content; primary content page

  • Click on the unlink button on the line of "unlink" option next to the translation you want to unlink. You can link relink the translation again at any time.
