Configuring DeepL provider

DeepL Translator offers a free tier with 500,000 translated characters each month.

To translate content using DeepL, you need to activate a Developer Plan and generate a DeepL Api Key

Connect DeepL to Lango

  • Access the Lango admin panel, click the "Add Provider" button and select the DeepL provider

  • Paste your DeepL API Key into the provided field

  • Click Save

  • Once saved, the key will be encrypted, and you will no longer be able to see it

Lango will verify your configuration. If successful, the provider will be set as active.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, consider the following common causes:

  • Invalid or expired API Key: You have entered an invalid authentication key

  • Free quota exceeded: You have exceeded the free character limit available in the free plan.

Translation Configurations

Translation configurations let you save and reuse advanced provider settings for future translations. This can help you maintain consistent translation behavior and avoid configuring the same options repeatedly.

Create a DeepL Configuration

To use advanced DeepL features such as Glossaries, Formality, and other available options:

  1. Click New Configuration.

  2. Select DeepL as the translation provider.

  3. Configure the available settings, including:

    • Glossaries

    • Formality

    • Other DeepL-specific options

  4. Click Save.

Use Multiple Configurations

You can create multiple translation configurations with different settings and select the most appropriate one for each translation.

For example, you can create separate configurations for formal content, specific glossaries, or different translation workflows.
