Configuring Microsoft Azure Translator

Configuring Microsoft Azure Translator

Microsoft Azure Translator offers a free tier with 2 Mln translated characters each month.

Ensure you have an active Microsoft Azure Subscription and a Translator resource. You can create a Translator resource by following Microsoft’s official instructions.

Connect Azure Translator to Lango

  • Access the Lango admin panel, click the "Add Provider" button and select the Azure provider

  • Login to your Azure account and select the translator resource

  • Go to the Keys and Endpoint tab.

  • Paste the ApiKey and Location into the corresponding fields in the Lango configurator

  • Click Save

  • Once saved, the API key will be encrypted and no longer visible. Lango will verify your configuration. If the setup is successful, the provider will be set as active.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, consider the following common causes:

  • Invalid Azure Key or Location: Ensure you have entered a valid Azure API key and location

  • Exhausted Free Tier Limit: Check if you have exceeded the 2 million characters per month limit provided by the free tier

  • Inactive or Suspended Azure Subscription: Verify that your Azure subscription is active and not suspended
